ONE MORE IN

Dear Nadia aka Ms Chanel has finally arrived. She got her name for the simple reason that she's the fashion brand manager for Chanel in Dubai - Pret a porter and Haute Couture. What a wonderful delight to finally see my beautiful desert rose on this side of the world. She's one of the best things I got out of my one year stay in Dubai.

For you guys who recently got to know me; I was writing a Swedish blog during my time in Dubai and other parts of the world. I guess I have been blogging about my life and adventures for nearly five years now and only the last one in English.

AT WORK

At the moment there isn't really much time for anything else than work, work, work and sailing. Glad though that my work is my passion and besides of many other wonderful things I am happy to take part of every day, my work contains testing delicacies like the ones above. BACK TO NORMAL

That was short and sweet. Very strange how the weather has been operating lately. I haven't seen snow that closely for a couple of years now so it was a nice experience I must say. But now it's all back to normal again. I will be able to enjoy todays lunch at the dry and sunny terrazzo again. Homemade potato salad with smoked turkey it is.

Just got back from the lunch at one favorite spot in Barcelona. You'll find this atmospheric restaurant one step down in the underground, under the busy street of Passeig de Gracia, no 53.

IRRESISTIBLE

No one can resist the taste of my ultra rich and delicious lemon-coco cake.

2 eggs
2 dl sugar
1 dl water
2 dl flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Juice from 1 very small lemon

Glaze:

75g margarine
1 dl sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice

Converter.

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Whisk together eggs and sugar. Pour in the water, soon the flour and baking powder and squeeze in the juice from the lemon. Pour the batter into lightly greased baking pan and into the oven for 30 minutes.

In the meanwhile, prepare the glaze. Heat the margarine first and then mix it all together in the pan. When cake finnished, pour the glaze over and decorate with coco flakes. Best to eat when the cake is chilled. Preferably with some Kesella on top. MMmmm.. c'est fantastique!

My all time favorite, Brunello di Montalcino (2003), is my dear friend tonight.

MILAN PART II

This weekend in Milan was all about good food (fresh pasta al dente, thin crispy pizzas, mozzarella salads, mussel soups, perfectly grilled steaks..), fantastic wines (Casali Di Bibbiano Casalone, Amarone Della Valpolicella, Brunello di Montalcino..), wonderful chocolate and delicious desserts..

My dear father is on a visit and brought me all good things finnish. Finnish Vodka and finnish porcelain. And 3 kilos of finnish chocolate. I have no longer no idea of how I will get into my new Herve Leger dress for that movie premiere in London on tuesday night.. Seriously.
