LAST NIGHT

Had the best night last night with a dear friend who I haven't seen for nearly two years. He took me around to all lovely Parisian places. Café de Fleur for after noon tea, a walk through St Germain to Le Fumoir for dinner. And after we ended up at the oh so classic Hotel Costes for late night drinks, as always. Paris oh Paris, How I love this city. And thank you darling for a perfect night. xxx

ALMODOVAR

What I'm humming to at the moment.⬆

I've just seen Los Abrazos Rotos (broken embraces). Pedro Almodovar's darkest in years (ever?) with a hypnotically photogenic Penelope Cruz and an intriguing story. Not Alomodovar's best movie, but the suggestive film noir style, the storyline and picture perfect settings are totally good enough to make this a favorite of the moment. This fantastic song by Cat power appears in the movie as well. And the rest of the soundtrack is just incredible.

I love this city so much. For some years ago New York was kind of my second home as I constantly went there back and forth for business. Nowadays Berlin has became my new routine get away for both inspiration trips for the creative side of my life/work and also for all that pleasure this city gives me. I haven't been to any city before which gives me all that decadent, soulful and kind of trashy energy I so badly need to fill my life with at times. The inspiring culture, arty and creative ambience and the colorful and inspiring people I always meet here, as well as my friends, makes me wanna go back here over and over again.

Monday morning. I can see a über busy week coming up with a lot of traveling around the world as usual. I have so many tasks on my to do list and my mind is filled with millions of new interesting challenges to consider and analyze that I don't know where exactly to start. And what shoes to wear? The week would definitely start off easier if I had these beauties in size 38 in my closet.

Just got back from an inspiring breakfast meeting at beautiful Casa Fuster. Don't miss out on this place next time you are in Barcelona for their spectacular interiour and the smooth jazz sessions thursday nights. This is also the place they used for one of the scenes in Vicky Christina Barcelona and mr Woody Allen himself has been spotted here a couple of times, playing jazz on the clarinet for his friends. One of my favorite hangouts in town.
