SUMMER PLANS

I am blessed to be able to work from wherever I find an Internet connection. At the moment we're cruising around on the Spanish coastline and islands. Soon we'll set our sails towards eastern parts of Europe for an all summer Mediterranean cruise before heading far West and the Atlantic crossing in end of October. More pics here from our last cruise.

We escaped the F1 parties for the nature..

... and this is what we found. A deserted creek, perfectly hidden in the natural camouflage of the mountains. We found this empty and abandoned place a bit up on Costa Brava, 50 nautical miles northeast from Barcelona. For two nights and three days this was our serene home.

Living on a boat/My true element

This boat life suits me better than I could ever imagine. A strong sense of freedom has always been important to me but it all has suddenly got a total new meaning; to be able to literally move your home wherever you might want to place it - is the ultimate type of freedom in my eyes. And what else could possibly suit a pisces better than all that closeness to the water.

WE'RE GOING AROUND THE WORLD!

Ok, I promised to tell you about my projects. One is this one. The more personal one. Probably the greatest project I ever came close to in my life until now and I hate the fact that there are still seven months to go through before it can take place for real. Anyway; the thing is that me and my man are leaving Barcelona in October for a sailing tour around the world. God knows how long we will be away but expected journey is at least 1,5 year. This one requires a hell of a lot of planning, organization, dealing with sponsors/partners etc.

Every day of this crazy journey will be documented in different ways and medias over the world, one of them is our blog which will be daily updated as soon as we set off. The project is in a very early stage at the moment but the blog is already started where we are sharing our work with the preparations and other sailing related stories.

BACK ON LAND

Instead of taking the fast 40 min flight back home from Mallorca, I got back sailing on a 24 hour journey. There is really something extraordinary with being in the middle of a wide open, never ending sea. Having only water, water and water around you for a whole day and night. No sign of either life nor land, when suddenly these beautiful little creatures shows up from nowhere and wants to play in the waves from the boat. Wonderful nature, sometimes you take my breath away.

JUDGEMENT DAY

I was taken out on a hard core winter sailing trip the other night. Besides of getting to experience the hard and stormy weather as never before, I almost couldn't believe my eyes when the sun fell down behind the horizon. So dramatic and so intensively beautiful that it hurt my eyes. If that is what the judgement day would look like, then I'm ready to die whenever.
